AZO – Azodicarbonamide (Chemical Blowing Agent)
High-Performance Foaming Agent for Rubber and Plastics
AZO (Azodicarbonamide) is a chemical blowing agent used to create lightweight, expanded structures in a variety of polymer and rubber products. Upon heating, it decomposes to release nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases, forming a consistent cellular structure.
Applications in Flexible and Insulating Foam Products
AZO is commonly used in EVA, PVC, PE, and natural or synthetic rubbers for products such as shoe soles, foam mats, insulation panels, automotive interiors, and gaskets. It enhances cushioning, reduces density, and improves thermal and acoustic insulation.
Hamiico supplies high-purity AZO in safe, moisture-resistant packaging suitable for industrial-scale foam production and polymer compounding.
